Advanced Track ~ International Speaker Forum
The Advanced Track ~ International Speaker Forum spans all three days of the conference. Included are presentations “from the laboratory”, discussing the most current research on homeopathy and the science that underlies its effectiveness. On the clinical side, each of our world-renowned speakers will offer video cases documenting successful clinical application of homeopathy. We also host previews of two world-class films at this year’s conference, as well as a repeat of 2011’s popular panel, Homeopathic Dialogue, featuring presenters from our International Speaker Forum.
Dr. Luc Montagnier
Saturday 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM
French virologist, recipient of the 2008 Nobel Prize for his discovery of the HIV virus. Dr. Montagnier’s more recent research on DNA and electromagnetic waves may give a new insight to the understanding of homeopathy.
Transduction of DNA Sequences from Pathogenic Microorganisms Through High Dilutions of Water
We are extremely honored to have Dr. Luc Montagnier present at this year’s JAHC Conference, where he will discuss his newest findings and their implications for the future of medicine. The experiments of Dr. Montagnier’s team are investigating the properties of DNAs from pathogenic microorganisms, especially their electromagnetic resonance in high water dilutions. This opens the possibility of a new medical paradigm of diagnosis and treatment of chronic diseases.
Dr. Luc Montagnier was born in the town of Chabris, near Tours. He became interested in science in his early childhood through his father, an accountant, who carried out experiments on Sundays in a makeshift laboratory in the basement of the family home. Prior to his 1983 discovery (with F. Barre-Sinoussi) of HIV, he had made a significant number of discoveries and contributions to medical research, advancing, among other areas, cancer research and viral disease treatment. Since 1993, Dr. Montagnier has been president of the Foundation he co-founded with F. Mayor, then Director General of UNESCO, the World Foundation for AIDS Research and Prevention.
Dr. Andre Saine DC, ND, FCAH
Friday 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM
Canada’s highly regarded teacher and homeopathic scholar, Dr. Saine bases his work on that of the Great Masters of the past.
Homeopathy in Times of Epidemics: Some Fundamental Realizations
In researching the results obtained by homeopathy in the time of epidemics, Dr. Saine has not been able to find one single report showing the superiority of conventional medicine over genuine homeopathy in lowering morbidity and mortality in epidemic diseases, including those traditionally carrying a high mortality rate. This amazing fact holds true in every era, including results obtained with today's advances in medicine and nursing care. Dr. Saine will present the main findings of his extensive research of the homeopathic literature and answer questions absolutely fundamental to the survival and growth of our profession, such as, “If homeopathy is so great, why isn’t it mainstream medical care?” and, “What were the causes and factors of its dramatic decline?”
Dr. Saine is a 1982 graduate of the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Oregon. He is board-certified in homeopathy by the Homeopathic Academy of Naturopathic Physicians. In addition to his private practice in Montreal, Canada, he has been the Dean and main instructor for the postgraduate program of the Canadian Academy of Homeopathy since 1986. He is known as a homeopathic scholar based on his in-depth studies of the work of the great masters of the past and his practice of pure Hahnemannian homeopathy. Website: www.homeopathy.ca

Dr. Rajan Sankaran MD(Hom)
Sunday 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM
Internationally renowned practitioner and teacher, originator of the ‘Sensation’ school of homeopathic practice.
The Simplicity of Homeopathy
In this - his first presentation to the JAHC - Dr. Sankaran will use video cases to illustrate the unified study of symptoms and systems. He states, "From more than three decades of practice, I found that Homeopathy becomes simple when one integrates conventional knowledge of materia medica and repertories with the recent advances of kingdoms, miasms and levels. It is when we use facts and concepts together that we get the best results. It is like using the right and left brain at the same time, as we normally do in life."
Dr. Rajan Sankaran is internationally renowned for his groundbreaking concepts in homeopathic thinking. He is best known for the elucidation of new concepts in homeopathy, including 'disease as a delusion', his use of mind symptoms and dreams, the classification of remedy states into kingdoms and his additions to the existing miasms. He has authored a number of important books, and along with his colleagues has founded The Homoeopathic Research and Charities, an institution involved in various teaching courses. He has been awarded a Fellowship of the Society of Homeopaths (UK). Dr. Sankaran lives and practices in Mumbai, India. Website: www.RajanSankaran.com

Dr. Iris Bell MD, PhD
Friday 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Professor, researcher, and licensed in homeopathy, Dr. Bell has been researching areas related to holistic, complementary and alternative medicine for over 30 years.
Understanding the Process of Healing in Homeopathy from a Nonlinear Dynamical Systems Model
Dr. Bell’s presentation will introduce Nonlinear Dynamical Systems (NDS) as a framework for homeopathic research. She will outline the state-of-the-science on the NDS features of healing and discuss the implications of theory-driven research for both clinical care and research in homeopathy. Dr. Bell will demonstrate how study designs that attempt to reduce remedy effects to a pre-defined change in a local organ, or isolate simplistic mechanisms will miss systemic, indirect, and global effects that homeopathic remedies routinely cause. She will present findings from psychophysiological studies on human subjects that illustrate how homeopathic remedy effects differ from those of conventional drugs. Understanding this work will assist both homeopaths and homeopathic researchers to recognize the challenges inherent in the consistent reproducibility of remedy effects, and ultimately improve clinical care.
Dr. Bell has been a researcher in holistic and alternative medicine for over 30 years. She has served on the faculties at Harvard, UCSF, and the University of Arizona. She is Board certified in Psychiatry, a fellow of the American College of Nutrition, nationally certified in biofeedback and licensed in homeopathy and integrative medicine in Arizona. Dr. Bell has published professional papers and book chapters on her clinical research, a monograph on environmental illness, and books for patients with anxiety disorders and chronic illness. Her passion is to help those with chronic illness begin the journey to better health. Website: www.IrisBell.com
Dr. Russell Malcolm MB, ChB, BA, FFHom., Cert.Voc.Pr.
Saturday 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM
Former Director of Education at the Royal London Homeopathic Hospital, Dr. Malcolm is an international expert in the medical integration of alternative therapies.
Incorporating Experience Into Our Data Pool
Empiricism in clinical medicine presents a difficult challenge for modern practice. How can we judge which data sets in our accumulated knowledge can be reliably applied? What rules should govern the expansion of the materia medica? The materia medica of the nosodes presents a particular challenge, owing in part to the convergence of biological information and clinical observation, which is particularly important in this category of remedies, and which underpins the homeopathic indications for most of them. Using a body of cumulative data for The Bowel Nosodes of Bach & Paterson, Dr. Malcolm will discuss the strengths and shortcomings of different analysis methodologies and discuss which aspects of repertory development are likely to be most appropriate to this data.
Dr. Malcolm is Medical Director of the Claremont Homeopathic Clinic, Glasgow, Scotland. He has been practicing homeopathy for 20 years, and served as Director of Education at the Royal London Homeopathic Hospital for six of those. He continues to contribute to homeopathic education in the UK and internationally. Alongside his medical and homeopathic studies, Dr. Malcolm has studied arts and humanities, developing his long-standing interest in the performing arts. Over the last decade he has drawn on these disciplines, allowing them to influence his daily work in ways that have direct practical relevance to his patients, students and colleagues.
