Karen Allen has been practicing since 1994; for the past decade her work has been primarily focused on reproductive and fertility issues. She is a popular teacher at conferences and schools across North America, and she has authored two widely used homeopathic textbooks. Karen teaches a continuing education program with strong emphasis in clinical efficacy, using homeopathy and other integrative therapeutics to broaden practitioner skills. When that office phone rings it may be an urgent call from a mom or family member asking for help with a pressing or emergent issue. Rapid and successful prescriptions in these situations promote trust in Homeopathy  - and don’t hurt your reputation as a practitioner either! This brief but informative lecture will survey some of the more frequently needed first aid remedies and their indications in practice. Most importantly, we will have some fun doing it.

Dr. Kellerstein graduated from the University of Toronto in 1976, with special interests in physiology and zoology. He received his chiropractic degree in 1980, his naturopathic degree in 1984, and graduated from the Canadian Academy of Homeopathy in 1991. He has been in practice since 1983 providing chiropractic and homeopathic care. He has a special interest in NLP (neurolinguistic programming) and its application to homeopathic case taking. Lia’s talk will help the practitioner with strategies for giving homeopathy “top billing” when a patient also needs nutraceuticals, botanical, and pharmaceutical treatment. We’ll discuss what to do when a new patient arrives with a complicated treatment regimen already in place, or how to add other treatments when homeopathy may not be all that is needed.

This session will draw on Dr. Fischer’s 30-plus years of clinical experience utilizing homeopathic principles in his dental practice. We will discuss acute first aid remedies for various dental complaints and situations, as well as analyze the controversies regarding mercury (amalgam) fillings, fluoride and root canal procedures.

Dr. Richard Fischer graduated from Georgetown University School of Dentistry in 1973. He was awarded Fellowships in the Academy of General Dentistry, the Academy of Stress and Chronic Disease and the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology. In 1990 he was awarded Board Certification by the American Naturopathic Medical Board. Dr. Fischer has published numerous scientific papers and has accumulated over 3,000 hours of training in all aspects of Dentistry, complementary and scientific therapies. Dr. Fischer has been in private practice in Annandale, Virginia, since 1976.

Kim Elia is a graduate of the New England School of Homeopathy and has been practicing homeopathy for more than 20 years. He currently lectures extensively throughout the world.
