"In the 1918-1919 Spanish flu pandemic, homeopathy was the only effective treatment that was available. If the current swine flu becomes a pandemic, homeopathy again should be a clinically effective and cost effective treatment with minimal side effects which will be available worldwide."
-- Timothy Fior, M.D.
"The track record of homeopathy clearly shows that it offers a very effective, safe, simple and inexpensive approach for the prevention of the flu and the treatment of sick affected by the flu—in all stages and in all types of flu."
-- Andre Saine, N.D., D.C., F.C.A.H.
"I have no doubt, given my experiences with homeopathy, that homeopathy will be able to effectively cure patients who contract the Swine flu in the most safe, gentle, cost-effective and efficacious manner and prevent the spread of it if need be."
-- Lisa Samet, N.D.
"The world needs to know that there is a safe and effective means of treating epidemics -- period. Homeopathy was extremely effective in treating the Spanish flu in 1918/1919. Public health records reflect this fact. It matters not what the epidemic is (flu, cholera, malaria, pertussis, etc..), because the rigorous scientific methodology of homeopathy remains the same from epidemic to epidemic. The greatest obstacle to be overcome is the mind-set of those who refuse to accept that there is a discipline of medicine that has a proven track record against epidemics. We owe it to humanity to raise awareness and acceptance of this fact."
-- Molly Punzo, M.D.
As the number of cases rises, it's important to become as knowledgeable as possible about the swine (H1N1) flu epidemic, but it's also important not to panic. Homeopathy has a long and impressive track record in epidemics of all kinds, including influenza, and we are confident of its potential now. Information-sharing is the key, and we at the National Center are working round the clock to gather and disseminate sound information about the swine flu and how homeopathy can help.
The NCH magazine, Homeopathy Today, has featured many excellent self-help articles about influenza that we recommend our members read immediately on this website. (Go to the For Members section and log in. Then visit Homeopathy Today Online. Type the word "influenza" in the Article Text search box to see the list of 50 articles.) There are articles with practical information that can help with swine flu as well as many other strains. Membership is available through this website for those who wish to have access to these articles and all of NCH’s other services.
For those who are not members, there are also some articles available for free in the Flu Forum.
NCH is gathering the best information on the swine flu from a variety of sources and will post it on this website and share it with our members on an ongoing basis (also see www.hhs.gov for information from the Department of Health and Human Services). We are in close touch with our national and international colleagues in homeopathy to learn the most up-to-date news and to identify remedies that are helping with the swine flu epidemic. We will do our best to be responsive and have the most current information available for you. Please check here for updates.
