University of Connecticut Medical School Hosts Debate on Homeopathy
March 27, 2013
On March 22, The University of Connecticut School of Medicine hosted a debate between Dr. Andre Saine and Dr. Steven Novella on whether homeopathy is a great system of medicine. The debate lasted 2.5 hours and was very lively.
Homeopathy is currently used by over 500 million people worldwide, making it the second most popular form of alternative medicine - according to the World Health Organization. Increasingly, patients are asking about this medical option. That fact, together and with the recent discovery that homeopathic medicines contain nanoparticles, has led to increased interest in homeopathy as nanomedicine. This debate examined the scientific and clinical facts about homeopathy. View debate.
